Can't live without it!

I have had a Foodsaver for years. As I upgraded over the years, I gave a friend my old vacuum sealer. This is a great product and saves me so much money as I live alone and vacuum-seal everything from cheese to meat.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a gift from my daughter and her family (after I put it on my Christmas list), and I love it so much! I haven't lost a single thing to freezer burn (once my nemesis) since I began repackaging meat and frozen vegetable purchases as soon as I get them home. I highly recommend this version of the Food Saver, because the extreme ease of use and maintenance.

I bought this model over a year ago and it has saved us money by taking advantage of sales. It is convenient and easy to use. We can afford to buy better quality meats because we can buy in larger amounts on sale and safely freeze what don't immediately use..

Rating at 4 due to size, it seems to be larger than necessary but the size may be a function of the necessary mechanisms. It seems to work well but no control over when the sealing function occurs as it is driven by a sensor. This means that you will get consistency of the distance of the seal from the end of the bag but may cause one to lose ability to conserve the bags a wee bit. The moist setting appears to work well and the ability to remove and clean the "trough" at the sealing mechanism is a nice feature.

I haven’t used it much yet but it seems better than the last version I had which just stopped working the way it should even after I replaced all the gaskets. I think this new one will be great

FoodSaver Works Great But.

I purchased the V4440 black FoodSaver on 02/20/2022. The bag sealing is great. However, when the Retractable Handheld Sealer was used on Bottle Stoppers, the nipple broke off. Now, it does not work on the stoppers or the Handheld sealer. What is the fix for this, and what is involved in this operation? Does FoodSaver have or sell a replacement part? The unit obviously will have to be disassembled. DIY or send it back to FoodSaver, and how is this prevented in the future?
