In the short time my family has had the food save, we have saved money on large bulk items of cheese and meats. It is easy to use and the food we have frozen is much fresher than zip lock type of bags. Knowing what I do now, I would buy the product again.

Stopped cutting

I have only used this twice, I went to use it again and it will not cut the bags, I am so disappointed. I had a cheaper and smaller food saver, it worked for years. Do anyone have any suggestions on why it's no longer cutting the bags?

Doesn't vacuum and seal properly

I got this as a Christmas gift. I've had 3 foodsaver sealers. All worked great unitl I got this one. It doesn't vacuum and seal properly on bags that you make. It's also very wasteful as it seals inches away from the edge, so your bags have to a lot bigger than necessary. They replaced the first machine but this one still won't vacuum and seal any bag that I make from their rolls. It's very frustrating.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great if ya only want to use it once!

So I got the 4400 for vacuum sealing bulk food. I was able to use it to seal dehydrated beef jerky....then when wanting to use it again, it failed. It doesn't get all the air out! I even kept it in the original box packed nicely and tucked away on a shelf. Highly disappointed!!!

Great vacumn sealer

Bought small and large rolls and quart and gallon bags in bulk for it. Has replaced using ziploc bags to store food. Even though the sealer has the attachment, I haven't used it over the last year. I perfer the pre-sealed bags. Having the roll bag stored inside the sealer and having a cutter is very convienent, but estimating the size fo the bad needed is difficult. There has to be a quite large amount of badg left to fit fully into the searler for the auto seal to activate. Overall a great prodcut that I'm glad I bought.
