I previously owned a food saver. It lasted me 15 years. In fact I even bought a second one at a yard sale in Alaska. I've packaged a ton of fish and veggies. These both were used a lot. I love my new one

This vacuum sealer is great. This is my second one. Use it everyday. I literally wore it out. Love the style. When I buy family size frozen items. The first thing I do is remove the air from the product, make my sealing bags extra long, so when resealing the bag I have plenty of room to reseal. I save my bags when finished with product. Wash and dry them. Never never save bags that have been used for raw meat product.
