This is my 2nd Foodsaver vacuum sealer. I have one that is really old that is used often. Due to the age of my 1st one I got a back up unit. I use my sealer several times a month and don't want to be without one. Great purchase!

I have owned two of this model in the last few years. The reason for two; a good friend had one, not a Foodsaver, and it quit working. I gave him mine and bought another one. The only problem I have ever had is not always judging the length of bag to cut off the roll. Anyway, that's my fault.

Ease of use. Canister extension designed very well for different applications. Overall foodsaver has been my only choice to vacuum protect cheese, meats, spagetti and much more for on the go ready to heat and serve dinners. Thank you.

Frustrating to say the least

What a piece of. I read the office space review and sympathize. First time using was ok at best. 2 nd time. Will not seal. Who ever thought that using rolled plastic to push on triggers to lock and seal should have to use it. Got it as a gift and paid too much.

1. It may be necessary to pre-freeze moist/soft food items to prevent moisture from compromising an effective vacuum/seal. These items include meats, fish, poultry, soft fruits, and blanched vegetables.
2. Test your FoodSaver by operating it without a bag. Allow the unit to complete the cycle. When the unit shuts off, lift the lid and gently touch the heat strip. If it is hot, please try to seal another bag.
