This vacuum sealer is just OK. The styling is nice, with controls that are very easy to read and use. The cutter wants to work in one direction only (right to left). The roll holder is a bit too high, making keeping the roll from unrolling a bit difficult. It's very noisy! It seems to waste quite a bit of the roll in making the seals since you have to insert about 2 inches of each end to get the sealer to kick on. The drip tray is easy to remove for cleaning and also easy to reinstall.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this for myself a few years ago. My friend had wanted a Food Saver, I loved this one so much, I gave her mine and bought a new one for myself. About a year ago, my son wanted one. I bought one for him too. I have never had any problems with this sealer. It's very easy to use.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don't waste your money

Don't buy this. I used to have the basic model with the flip top.lid and it worked a lot better. I thought I was getting a nice upgrade but the bells and whistles are just a pain. You have to have a long plastic tail to get it to seal, or pull the bottom tray out to position the plastic properly... it is supposed to do that automatically. Once you finally get it perfect, half the time it still doesn't suck all the air and you have to restart. I'm not doing overly moist foods. Incredibly frustrating to use.

This is a wonderful machine! I bought it to replace my old FoodSaver that was 11 years old and wasn’t functioning the way it used to. It is even nicer than my old one because of a few extra features that my old one didn’t have. I highly recommend it.
