[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this several years ago. Use it nearly every day and it has not let me down yet. When sealing meats it's probably better to use the bags with the white liner in it so it will not soak the liquid into the tray. If it does you just need to clean the tray. The only thing I have not figured out is how to seal jars and I do have their attachments just have not figured it out.

Foodsavor is the best way to save food for long periods of time in the freezer. No freezerburn no funny taste, just like u bought it that day.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for Christmas for my son, he is a hunter and also feeds his dog a raw diet. I’ve had a FoodSaver for 6 years now and decided he would benefit greatly if he had one too. He was thrilled with his FoodSaver! Now when he shops for his dog’s food he can buy larger quantities which saves him $ since now he can keep the food longer than he could with just ordinary freezer bags/containers. I am constantly bragging about the FoodSaver units. I buy the 11x16 rolls so I can make my bags as big as I want. I can honestly say (because I tested it) that meat; chicken, chop meat, venison retains its color like the day I put it in the freezer months later. I packaged 1 pound of chop meat in a good brand freezer bag and also 1 pound of chop meat with my FoodSaver, put them both in the freezer and 1 1/2 months later I took both packages out of the freezer, the freezer bag chop meat was brownish gray in color on the outside and pink on the inside. The FoodSaver package was red on the outside and on the inside just like it was when I put it in the freezer. Venison retains its beautiful color, chicken has no freezer burn - I am a firm believer that FoodSaver is the only way to go especially with the cost of meat these days. You can’t afford to throw meat away because it lost its color and/or has freezer burn!
