We got ours about a year ago and everything was working fine until recently. Now the bags don't seal air tight anymore. We haven't used it all that often, so pretty disappointed that the sealing part has failed already. It allows the moist foods to leak out now, so we can't save some foods as long as we'd like to. We do like having one of these, so may have to start the search all over again...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works as advertised

Does an excellent job. However, not easy to clean! The sealing tray does not slide all the way out, so can only clean half of the machine. Cleaning is required or else cfud builds up and will not allow a good seal for the vacuum !
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I've had mine for years. It's convenient and doesn't take up a lot of counter space. It saved a lot of my freezer items and money when I got flooded and the freezer was turned over in the water.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I was very happy when I first bought it but now it doesn't work - wont vacuum out all the air and doesn't auto seal.
