This unit works great. Very easy to use, seals and vacuums perfectly. Keeps food wonderfully fresh. Also great if you are planning to sous vide your food.

The roll bag auto system is not working. I have called several times to be hung up on after being on the phone for a while. Spent a lot of money to not work all the way. I have already lost money on bags. Too much money to be wasting like this.

The power cord is WAY too short. It's very annoying since this seems like a good product with some shortsighted annoyances. And the accessory cord does not retract so I have to spend time pushing it back in carefully. Also, our first one seemed to "burn out" as it kept trying to remove the air from a bag but did not progress at all.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Easy to use

I thought this would be so much more difficult to use than it actually was. I love the speed and ease of use. I love being able to use the zipper bags to seal up my cheese and dehydrated fruit that we get into on a regular basis. No more moldy cheese!

I see some people at least got some use for months/1year. I haven’t had one solid vacuum. The food saver bags are absolutely worthless. Incredibly fragile and lose a vacuum if you look at it wrong. Do not buy, low quality

I’m only giving it 4 stars because it doesn’t take all the air out completely but mostly. And I’ve thawed some meat and the seal broken but not sure how or where. But all in all I’d buy it again. I can buy big packs of meat and freeze individual meal portions which saves money and time going back to the grocery store.

I’ve had this foodsaver for about 5 years now. It normally works perfectly. Rarely any issues, but is for sure loud & sometimes slow.

I bought this a few weeks ago and have used it several times for different kinds of foods. I absolutely love it so far. I would, however, love to see some sort of dowel put in the roll bend to keep it in place better. Something that would keep the rolls tighter and straighter when pulled to make your own bags. So far a big fan of Food Saver!
