I had an old vacuum sealer that was awkward, inconvenient to use and only worked sometimes. FoodSaver was recommended by my foodie brother who always gets only the best of everything. This is a great system, much more convenient, efficient and easy to use. I was concerned that it would take up too much room on my counter, but the footprint is perfect. Why did I wait so long?

This unit is less than a year old and I am ready to return it. If you are looking to seal meat with just a little bit of moisture, don’t, because it will not make a good seal. Worst design I have ever seen.
Now the drawer containing the drip tray won’t close, due to the part holding the seal keeping it from closing, again a very cheap design. I will be sending it back, taking my money and buying a Vacmaster.
