I've owned Food Saver products for over 20 years. 2 years ago I bought a V4420, and could not believe how much easier ti made my sealing food that I've bought in bulk. I damaged my unit and just ordered a V4440, can't wait to see how it compares!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Didn't not work as advertised. My unit would not seal. The bags kept splitting open and the items I thought sealed got freezer burnt. I had to throw away everything. Not worth the purchase.

Total garbage! Do not buy this unit.

This unit is complete junk. I had a more manual food saver for about 4 years and had no problems. I power cord failed so I bought this unit and it is harder to trim and seal bags. I had double seals on clairified butter fail for two days in a row. It spilled liquid butter all over me and the kitchen twice. I took it out to the yard and smashed it with an axe. Don't waste your money on this garbage.

Hello!
Thank you for letting us know about this situation! We are truly sorry for the inconvenience it caused you and we sincerely apologize! We recommend you pre-freeze meats and other moist foods for 1-2 hours before vacuum sealing. Excess liquids from moist foods, like liquid butter, can cause the unit not to vacuum and seal properly and permanent damage can occur.
Should you require any further assistance, please reach out to us via https://www.foodsaver.com/support/contact-us or through LiveChat. We’re available Mon.-Fri. 9am -5pm Eastern Time.
Thank you!
