Works great with a couple of issues

I bought this maybe 4 years ago and I use it at least weekly. It works great with two issues. First the cutter broke it should be a little stiffer. Second, it is really hard to clean the upper sealing surface. It is hard to get in there and it is not removable. It would be a solid five star if not for those two things

Great product

I've had this model for about 3 years. It finally stopped working due to the motor breaking down. I wish there was a longer warranty. I'm thinking of purchasing the newest model to see how it compares to the model I had.
I would recommend this to a friend!

If the food is moist I have trouble getting the bags to seal. If it isn't it works well. I don't believe it is worth the price they ask for it. I have tried to preference the food before I seal it. I have found this too doesn't work.

I like this machine and it does exactly the same things as the next model up (including pulse) without the price tag. This is a replacement, though. I believe some liquid got into my machine because the accessory port stopped suctioning. It took a while to notice because the regular function (with a bag) still worked fine. Neither I nor my very muscular boyfriend could open the drip tray (without breaking it) to investigate. So, a replacement was needed; I hope this machine fares better. Anyway, considering that I had the machine for at least 6 years before this happened, it was worth buying again. As a bonus, I now have the new bags that didn't exist when I bought this the first time.
I would recommend this to a friend!

V4840 Love it! nees to replace the handheld sealer

I have the V4840 unit and love it!But, nI ec help with replacing the handheld sealer. My unit is out of warranty and I have emailed, called, and posted requests for help to no avail. The only feedback from FoodSaver is that my unit is out of warranty…
