Can't survive without my Foodsaver vacuum sealer! Got this to replace an older one that gave out and am happy with the way the newer model functions. However my old one died just past warranty period as did the one before that! Always seem to appreciate the updates new model have but wish your products would (and should) hold up longer.

So far so good. It's scary having to replace a trusty old machine. I get it though, 15 years is old so when it gave up I understood. Now this junior replacement needs to live up to the reputation of the old machine.

Very nice product. Works as it should. If anything it's a little bit of a overkill for my use. If your doing a lot this is for you. If your only going to use every once in a while get the smaller more compact unit.

We inherited ours from my father in law. We love it!!! Just a tip: If you put soup or liquid foods in a Tupperware dish and put in freezer until they solidify, then you can vacuum seal for later.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am thrifty like most of you. It does waste a little bit from the roll, but don't cut rolls short to save on the extra inch or 2. If you are looking to be this cheap, don't even buy pre-cut bags. This is a top quality product of all that I've owned and used.

The sealer doesn't work well. After the 2nd bag I sealed. The following bag seals were weak and easily ripped open, especially while sealing moist items. I mostly use it for wild game, fish. Etc. And it doesn't seal well at all. I'll most likely be returning the unit.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am sealing up everything, chip bags, cheese, veggies, I make my own beans, hamburger patties….you name it I am probably trying to seal it up! Though I love it for vacuum sealing dry items it doesn’t work as well as I had hoped for wet/moist items. I never get a good seal so I have to just seal it again trying to keep as much air out of it as I can. It seems to be working but it’s a bit of a hassle. I love the auxiliary function for the containers and wine stopper’s, it works great. All in all, I believe it was a good purchases, it has lots of uses.
