Great choice with only a minor inconvenience

I had a previous model that worked better for creating bags which helped work convenience. Other than that I like this model much better in design and function.

I have an older version and it started to be difficult or fail to vacuum and seal. I decided to replace it with this model.

All was well until the hand vac attachment broke after 3 weeks of use . I can still use the bag vac seal part which does work well, but cannot use the attachment at all. The main reason I wanted this was to vac seal mason jars as well as the bags. I am really disappointed. I spent some time researching online and from what I can tell, there is no way to replace/repair the attachment.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is the best Foodsaver there is. I use it daily. Had one for a few years and it gave out. Tried a different one, because of the price. That lasted about a month. Decided it was best to go to the tried and true!

I've had Food Savers for many years, and recently purchased the newer version. I love the simplicity of this newer model. The fact that it does save money - no more spoilage - I have not done the math yet, but believe it will pay for itself. Great product
