I already had a pavilion and wanted to upgrade but I feel like I wasted a grand it's not really any faster or better in any way plus it doesn't have the backlit keyboard which I need and I thought it would. I emailed hp to see if their was any way to still get the backlit keyboard and haven't gotten a response.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I expected to be pleased but I am more pleased than I expected. Very nice . I've had it a week and I keep finding things I like about it. Lightweight, sleek, very responsive and keyboard touch is just right. Not being very tech savvy I feel HP has my back with info and support.

Overall good laptop. I upgraded to the 1 TB SSD. Unit replaces a 13-year old HP Pavillion desktop. Only complaint it the lack of USB ports. so I had to use a docking station to connect everything. That's the reason for only 4 stars.
