It works well ONLY if it can return back to its charging dock. If it does not return to the charging dock, then forget it. It will not save the map and you'll have to start over. Placement of the charging dock is key. I spent 45 mins on a chat with Frank from Deebot's customer service trying to help me and he recommended the charging dock be on a hard surface, such as hard wood or tile. I had it on carpet and the Deebot 950 could not find its way back to it. Thus, I wasted hours mapping my house just for it to not make it back to the dock and lose the map it just made. I have it on hard wood now and it's cleaning and mopping and doing its job, but it was definitely a painful learning process. I was ready to return the robot and get something else until reaching out to Deebot's customer service.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded from an “old” “dumb” Ecovacs that did not have mapping nor mopping capability. The mapping means the new smart Ecovacs cleans the room in a fraction of the time. Tje mopping is a nice feature too although perhaps not quite as effective as I was hoping it would be as I have two big dogs who fail to remember to wipe their feet (nonetheless works fine). Overall great product.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this vacuum over other top brands because of reviews and videos I’ve seen comparing them. This one beat out the others easily. My only 2 complaints is that since it’s so new I haven’t been able to order more mopping pads for it and that if you have the mopping reservoir/pad attached, it will not vacuum any carpets. I feel that if there was a feature to lift the pad attachment when going over rugs, this could be the end all vacuum. If this would borrow the automatic dirt disposal from another top brand, that would be an awesome feature on the next model and definitely make me upgrade.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The machine is useful for routine hard wood floor vacuum. The mop feature works but I think regular mopping is still neede
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Does very well everywhere except for very deep into the edge of walls (if it's on carpet) and even does OK with corners. I think this robot is great if you have wall to wall carpet, but it is probably even more incredible if most of your house is hard floors - especially with the mopping feature which works quite well. The logic of the robot's movements improves after a few uses, and it seems to be a very advanced product. Quite cool! In the future, I would love to see these robots come with easy carry handles and an accessory pack with hoses/tools so that users could use it as car vac or for stairs as well. We follow instructions on how often to clean the filter, and brushes, etc. All in all, I am impressed and it saves us a lot of time and does a very good vacuuming job!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had recently upgraded from the 930 and man what an upgrade. I love the max vacuum suction option on all floorings and not just carpet. It cleans every detail. Picks up all my dog's hairs and dirt with ease.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm a robot vacuum veteran. I own and have owned numerous including the original Xiaomi, The Roborock S5, the 360 S5 & S7 and the Neato Botvac Connected D7. It's a sickness. :-)
I stay away from the Roombas as I don't like camera navigation and it's inability to clean in the dark.
My experience with the Ozmo thus far has been reasonably good.
It's mopping performance, water capacity, and no-mop zones are second to none. Although we need an agitator on the mop head to improve mopping performance.
It's battery life is also second to none.
Carpet lines can be a little better. My Neato wins in that area.
Navigation is terrific and efficient.
The main issue I've had, and I've had it twice now, is that it got stuck a couple times and when it did, it re-positioned the charging base on the map causing me to re-map the entire house and redefine all my no-go and no-mop areas.
I've added new no-go areas to prevent the "sticking areas" so hopefully it won't happen again, but shouldn't happen in the first place.
There are some desperately needed features though:
1) No-go LINES instead of just square zones for angles. 2) The ability to name auto-created zones. 3) The ability to modify auto-created zones. 4) The ability to create and save custom zones. 5) The ability to use voice to send the vacuum to a particular zone. Why has no one released this yet?. IE - "Hey Google, vacuum the master bedroom"
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this vacuum and have been using it every other day for about a month. It takes approximately 85 minutes to clean my 1500 square foot home. Each time it picks up more than I expect and has made my life easier. I have had to do a factory reset once but that was due to a network error on my end. Tip: make sure the dock is flush against the wall when you do the first scan or else the robot will scan your home in a diagonal manner.
