Good range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This stove was installed in a new home we just purchased. We have enjoyed it so far. It heats well and we like the extra oval burner on the range as well as the hidden element in the stove.

Okay stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came with the new house we bought. So the problem we are having is with baking. Example.. When we bake a pizza, box says 20 minutes. But after 20 minutes, the pizza isn't cooked. We have to cook things 10 minutes longer. We hear the oven ( gas ) come on and off while baking the pizza. We're not sure if this normal?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my dream range. I believe I got the last one is bisque thanks the whirpool representative.
Disadvantages: Thin flimsy bottom drawer, which I don't use anyway. Thinner than expected oven racks. Have to clean the top often, waiting on a stove guard. Due to the oven/timer controls being behind the range top, you can't work it if you have food cooking on the top of the stove without getting some very hot arms. So, turn on the oven and timer first and use the "Delay Start" if needed. Or turn off the burners while you set the oven and or timer. It takes a bit to preheat and the range makes popping noises (normal from what the book said).
Advantages: Love the bisque color. It has two large burners in front. All 5 burners are different. One small, one medium, one large, one large with instant boil, and the oval burner for my griddle. This range burns much higher than my old one. The control knobs are opposite of my old range. I love the heavy duty grates on top of the stove. I can just move pots from one burner to the other without having to pick up the pot. The oven cooks very evenly. I never broiled in my old gas range; I broiled the best ground chuck steaks I have ever had. I appreciate the book educating me on have the racks in the proper positions depending on what is being cooked in the oven. I typed it up, along with a couple of other helpful tidbits, and taped it inside the cabinet above my range, for quick review. Everything I have cooked in the oven has turned out wonderful.
This range took some getting used to, especially since it was different than my old one. After having this range for a few weeks, I can tell you that I LOVE THIS RANGE. I am very happy with this range and I am recommending it highly. Just be sure to get your highlighter and go through the books to learn to use it properly. The book taught this old lady some new tricks. Happy cooking!

Grates

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The grates are so very close to the heat source. When I want to simmer a pot for an hour or so, I place another grate on top. If not, there is no simmer, still a boil. Surface of this range is too small. Hard to have 4 pots going at the same time.
