Glad we purchased extended warranty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had to have a technician visit twice in 2y. Issue with oven ignition. Second visit, the part was replaced. I was told by a very experienced technician that this was a faulty part/design that is no longer used in newer models. He also said the repair/replacement part are very expensive.
The stove burners are extremely hot, even on the lowest setting. Also the black finish is prone to light scratches. And the stainless panel has some small dings. It has not been subjected to heavy or careless use.
Burners and grates are easy to remove and wash in the matching Whirlpool dishwasher.
Overall it has a “cheap” feel and still prefer the builder-grade GE range installed when the home was built 20y ago.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
