i got this for my birthday and I love it, i connected the thwomp runs track set to it and I plan to get the piranha plant side set to connect too.

Fun track set but no replacement parts available

My son received this set for Christmas. One of the tracks cracked in a few weeks and there are no replacement parts available. The entire set is now useless...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Easy set up and fun!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We were very excited to receive this toy, it was very easy to open and assemble. The pieces are well made and snap together nicely. The toy is a lot of fun and the characters move around the track quickly. The only issue we had with it is that my 6 year old does not have the strength to push the buttons hard enough or fast enough to get the cars initiated. She ended up using her feet to get it moving. The spinning sound of the second launch is a little loud and the cars can fly off the track on occasion but not a lot and not enough to make the toy unenjoyable. Overall we really liked it and plan on getting more cars to switch out on it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My six year-old son jumped with joy as soon as he saw the box. He loves video games, and one of his very first games he played was Mario Kart. We set the track up after dinner, and he didn’t quit playing with it until he had to get ready for bed. It’s easy to set-up. Don’t let the many parts you see as soon as you open it defeat you. Once set-up, it took quite a few attempts to figure out how much pressure to put on the mushroom button to make the cars go. Once it goes, it’s pretty good about staying on track. But be careful. There are a few times it few off the track out of nowhere, and I really mean that it flew flew. So, make sure that everyone around the track is paying attention. A cool feature on this track are shell buttons you can press to try and knock the other car off of the track. My son really liked that part as he is a bit competitive. (I wonder where he got it from. *cough* Me. *cough*) He’s played with it every day since receiving it. Overall, it’s a fun toy that can keep the kids occupied for some time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son had lots of fun putting the Mario Kart Circuit Track Set together. The parts were easy to connect and he was very excited to see how it turned out. He absolutely loves racing Mario and Yoshi. He played for hours with this track set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a fun set whose value is more nostalgic for me than anything else. I loves Mario Kart as a kid, and still love it now. This set is 100% for me, there are no kids here. It makes me happy to race live action Mario Kart cars.
The track is easy to set up, it is about as involved as other Hot Wheels sets with curved tracks. The motor is a little loud, but it isn't too bad. The track needs four D sized batteries, so make sure that you have those ready when the track arrives if you plan on playing with it right away.
The cars do tend to fly off of the track a little bit more than standard Hot Wheels do, possibly because the cars have characters riding them like they do in the video games. I recommend having the track in a play area that is away from breakables.
