Same size screen as my last laptop but smaller, thinner, lighter and faster. Carbon X1 i7 has a very nice look and feel. The weight and size difference is enough that I no longer hesitate to bring it with me.
SO much more light and compact than I had thought. My last laptop was a 2014 MacBook Pro 13 inches, and this bad boy was so much more portable and practical. Because the bezels around the screen are so thin, the X1 Carbon has a big screen but still fits into my bags that have a 13 inch sleeve. Even with its small size, I'm still able to run the Information System software that I use for work, and the battery last for hours even with consistent use. Super pleased.
My first Lenovo after a long line of Dells and I absolutely love it. The keyboard is amazingly comfortable with good feedback. I had no idea what I was missing out on with my previous laptop, where my fingers would hurt 'cos the keys were bottoming out. Display is nice and crisp, does a good job of managing glare (I got the FHD with privacy guard). Performance is excellent and very rarely does the fan turn on.
I've had it for a few months and already it's glitchy and the fingerprint reader only works half the time. For the price, it's not worth it in my opinion.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
