I have yet to find a cell phone that has a Contacts app that will let you assign individual ringtones & text notifications & this one is no different. Notice I said CONTACTS app! Nobody wants to have to keep a bunch of text messages just to be able to keep the text notifications they've assigned to people. This didn't used to be a problem! I have no idea why someone decided to create this issue but that's exactly what happened. Both ringtone & text notification must be fields within the individual contacts like they used to be! WHY were these features removed?! Certainly not for the benefit of the consumer! I wish more "how-to" articles were written for it instead of YouTube videos. You can't hear or understand half of what's said! But articles can be downloaded or printed that you can easily refer to as you're trying to do something. I've found this phone to be somewhat hard to configure as a lot of things are not intrinsic. For example, when you plug the phone into a PC, it shows up but displays as "empty". So you have to go hunting for instructions on how to "correct" this (& it's a multi-step process). It's not difficult to do but it took WAY too much time to find out how to "fix" it. I've had 1 LG & the rest have been Samsung cell phones. This is the 1st Motorola for me so... I'm not super impressed with anything about it. (Some of that's probably due to all of the frustration & time spent trying to figure out how to do what I want to do on/with it.)

When my iphone had broke, I replaced it with a decent android. It failed in comparison especially in lag on certain video games, text input, and other functions. I purchased the G7 when on sale based on reviews and the 3 GB ram (speed). I couldn't be more happy with this phone. I have zero interest now in going back to iphone.

Love the Battery Life on this Phone. I Bluetooth Sirius XM and use google maps while riding my Motorcycle, after a 9 hour ride the phone still has 50 percent battery life.

I'm not usually a picture taker but it does take pretty good pictures. Screen is very clear and the touch sensitivity is great. Battery life is way better than expected. I use the phone quite a bit during the day and I can easily go 2 days on a charge.
