Bigger, longer, has a "notch" if that turns you on. It upgraded itself to Android 10 and won't shut up about its new features, which I usually turn off. It has a nice screen, though I got this for my unborn child so I don't know whether it can see it after I put it in there for it to stream Elvis. Specifications says it has a nice camera but I haven't taken it outside to test it yet; it seems like it would break easy. It's sort of a "sit it on the shelf and look at it" toy.

Lost my Moto G5 Plus that I had for years and loved. Not having time for lots of research, I ordered the Moto G7 Optimo Maxx as a quick replacement. Man I miss my old phone.
The G7OM has only 3 swipe screens. The notifications for the various apps can only be modified so much, so lots of the notifications sound the same. I can no longer give specific sounds to specific people for texting and calls. Plus, figuring out the sounds and notifications is more difficult. The fingerprint recognition is slightly picky, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. The sound volume is harder to use than it should be, but seems Moto was trying to streamline the process. Just figuring out the Settings is cumbersome for some apps. I have yet to find the correct toggle to allow photos, MMS texts, and other stuff to download over wifi-only in my text app; I'm always prompted to turn my data on.
The size is good and not too bulky. The display is sharp and easy to see. The battery is long-lasting, easily a day plus before needing charging. Otherwise it works as an Android mobile should.

I am enjoying this new phone it's so nice. I like the feel of it and in my opinion well made. I am learning more about the Moto g7 optimo Maxx. If you want a affordable smart phone without over paying for an expensive one go with this one.

I recently bought the Motorola g7 optimo maxx and was quickly impressed in the color as blue was my favorite and each feature down to the speed of the phone is stellar even though I was once told to stay away from Motorola.
