My old vacuum would push the dirt around and not really suck up the dirt. My APEX lifts the dirt and fluffs the carpet, makes the house look much cleaner. Even bought a vacuum for my sister

The Apex has quite a few upgrades and improvers over the already outstanding Shark LiftAway
The air filter is much larger
It rolls more easily on high pile carpet
Bought direct and got a useful tool to clean under the fridge
Lights on the wand and canister are bright
The whole design is lower so it fits under the sofa and lies flat to get under the bed

I absolutely love the APEX DuoClean. There are so many wonderful features with it. The suction is by far amazing. I absolutely love the little "headlights" to help you see the dust better. The quality of the pieces/parts is very apparent. It does make the maneuvering and steering a little more difficult than the Navigator Lift-Aways, but I imagine it is due to the parts being of higher quality. It is super difficult to vacuum smaller items like small rugs or smaller detached couch cushions because of the powerful suction. It will lift them up. Those are probably the only two cons I have, but I think they're trades that are worth having the powerful suction. Highly recommend.

Great pet hair clean up!

I have had a Shark before and just got this one and was impressed with the improvements. One is the off button is right near your finger tips. The self cleaning brush is something new. The think what I like the most though is how much quieter it is. It only takes less than 5 minutes to put it together from the box. Also comes with a smaller pet brush good for furniture. What is not new but I love is the light that shines on the floor, I would miss so much pet hair if it didn't have this feature. Also the canister comes off for easy cleaning under your bed. I'm older and the weight is not too much to carry up the steps. It also has a HEPA filter built right in!
