I bought this a month ago. I have both carpet and hardwood. I previously owned the shark professional vacuum and liked the cleaning power. My new Apex cleans well, has adjustment feature for hardwood, low carpet, and plush carpet. It also cleans ok as an edge cleaner when the nosel attachment is not used. The disappointment is the maneuverability (hard to steer)! The small brush attachment gets caught on the hose and is constantly on the floor. I would recommend this vacuum to someone and would purchase another Shark in the future.

We were very satisfied with our last high end shark. This was a good Black Friday deal so I bought it. This thing is very heavy…much heavier than my last shark. My wife will not use it. That is very bad news for me. I greatly regret the purchase.

Replaced a previous shark that was working flawlessly until I dropped it and broke the mechanism that locks it upright. However I really like the new beater bars and suction of this machine.

You cannot beat this vacuum when it comes to performance and value and mist importantly, cost. The only downside is that it is impossible to use on stairs. You have to buy a separate attachment for the hose. Other than that, I really like this machine. I bought a second one so that I don't have to carry one upstairs.

Best vacuum I have ever owned! I love it so much I bought a second one so I have one for upstairs and one for downstairs.
I have mainly hardwood floors - I raise dogs - I have grandkids - we live in the country with all the dirt that involves - This vacuum does the job!!!
It’s very easy to use - very powerful - easy to clean - has all the great tools - and the lift away feature is the best!
