Verified Purchase:Yes
I had bought a competitors router - my bad after years of using Linksys products - that forced setup on a downloaded mobile app and required registration. Back it went.
Ordered the Linksys and ten minutes after I got it, it was up and running. Setup is straightforward through a web interface and required very little work on my part. It found my router and created its own subnet after acquiring it's IP. Asked me for WiFi network names and passwords, and it was up and running. What's more, further customization can be done easily through the web admin page.
Devices that always struggled with bandwidth and speed through the built-in WiFi on my internet router, now have all the speed they need. Streaming 4k now without issue.

I needed a back router because our older linksys e3000 would soon retire and it did so I pulled this one out of the box wired it as per the instructions and BAM!! Good to Go!! Good bang for the buck!

Inexpensive – You get what you pay for

I really don't want to bash this router, for its great for the price. I use it to link 5 Google Home devices (wireless), and a “DISH” satellite receiver (Ethernet), outside of the safety of my VPN protected network. First impression is its a great running router, keeping up with video traffic at first. However, the longer the router is up without being rebooted, it begins to slow down, eventually becoming so unresponsive you need to reset the router. Once reset, the router is frisky again for another several days, before needing reset again. Lesson learned here is you get what you pay for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The router works great, it's fast and has a great range. The only short coming is the configuration software. It prompts you to download their genie software which helps you get through the first part of the setup. But it will only allow you too configure the 2.4ghz radio. To configure the 5ghz radio you have to use the web interface...which you could also use to configure the 2.4ghz radio...so the software is pretty much useless bloat. If Netgear got rid of the download and just directed you straight to the web interface I'd give this thing 5 stars.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was not impressed with this wi-fi. I not only could not play any games on my phone but could not even get on line to do this review. Could not even get on a kindle either.

Super Easy Setup

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really liked how easy this was to get up and running. Though the feature list is rather short. Also, the way the speed is listed as 1000mb is misleading. It is actually 700mb for the 5ghz range and 300 for the 2.4ghz range. I don't know of any wifi device that can connected to both bands at the same time, so you're only going to get one or the other. For a basic home wifi setup this would be pretty nice, but I want a little more speed than this offers for streaming video from my cloud video player. With this router, if more than 2 devices are trying to stream video, it starts buffering. All of my devices connect to the 5ghz range and usually connect at 450mb or a little better most of the time, but the router itself can't stream out to more than 2 of them at a time. Also, the Ethernet prots are only 100mb Fast Ethernet. They are not Gigabit. This is also well below what I want in my home.

Hi Odoh,

The Linksys E5350 has a data rate of up to 300 Mbps (2.4 GHz) and up to 700 Mbps (5 GHz), 10/100 Mbps Ethernet ports and internet port, and supports the following standard protocol: 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Email us at LinksysCares@linksys.com with your contact info and the link of this review for our reference so we can have this isolate further with our Escalation Engineers.

Good features and great price

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When testing this unit, I found it to be very simple to install and setup. It easily saw and connected to several devices, including a couple of phones. The dual 2.4 & 5 Ghz bandwidth was a nice feature, as was the guest network. My only issue was with the speed of the unit. The unit seems much slower than the higher priced Linksys models and the network ports only support 10/100 and not 1000. Overall I would rate this a great budget model with a terrific price but would not recommend it to the high traffic users, gamers, or streaming customers.
