This product works like a charm. In low light, the dryer light comes on when the door is ajar; its advanced technological dial is remarkably quiet when selecting drying options.

Dryer is disappointing.

Dryer is disappointing, so many settings and yet the clothes are still not dry. I don't want to "cook" them, just have them dry. I bought a gas dryer as I have always had better control of the temperature.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hello mumk -- Thank you for your recent purchase of this GE dryer. When was the last time the ductwork from the dryer to the outside world has been cleaned as this is recommended to be done every couple of years. This can lead to poor drying of clothes. Used it on 3 loads on the third it started making a loud running noise while drying. Called your service repair number set a date for that Tuesday then the local repair calls said be there Thursday, repair man came worked on it said he would have to get with GE haven't heard a thing since, I was lucky the service man fixed it so it was rubbing as bad. Other than that I like the dryer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It's too light in weight, you really have to force or slam the door shut and when doing so, the dryer moves and it's noisy al lot more than my older GE dryer.

after installing the dryer turn it on and it shut off after 2 minutes, unpluged it open and closed the door, turn it on again same issue after 2 minutes shut off

We'd recommend making sure that your unit was installed properly. If it was, check to see if your dryer is tripping your breaker. I purchased this had dryer to replace a gas dryer I have had for 30+ years that finally died. The new dryer takes longer to dry clothes and I often have to increase drying time because clothes are not completely dry
