I love this product

I really like everything about this product except it’s too high. I have to stand on tip toes to get all of my clothes out. I love the color and the Bluetooth capabilities so it lets me know how long I have and when it is complete.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Washed well, not very “HE”
on July 27, 2025

Washes well but……8 out of 10 loads are uneven at the end, then it shuts off with in minutes so you start a drain and spin, where it adds like 20 gallons of water to “balance” it. It very HE, and it’s hard to deal with when you haul water, average an extra 20 gallons of water per load. Will probably go back to whirlpool after this one.

We'd like to help out with the uneven loads and out of balance conditions.

This model is a high efficiency model, so it does use less water to provide the same level of clean as traditional models.

In regards to the out of balance conditions, we recommend first checking that your washer is completely level to the ground. You can adjust by rotating the leveling legs located on the bottom of the unit. It is also important to be mindful of how the washer is loaded. The best way to achieve a balanced load is to load dry items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, filling in towards the center on larger loads.

Would be great if it wasn’t so high tech

I loved this washer for the first two years and than it keeps freezing on the sensing setting and will quit washes and make it challenging to wash clothes for a large family.

Inefficient

Do not buy. Most inefficient washer we have ever owned. Anything more than a couple pieces of clothing, it can’t balance and uses like 30 gallons of water at a time to try to balance it. Not uncommon to go through 60+ gallons of water a load

We are happy to provide guidance with this washer's balancing. The proper loading of this machine has a direct impact on the balance. We encourage you to load dry items loosely in the washer basket. For best results, load items evenly and loosely around the outside of the basket, filling in towards the center on larger loads. If loading your items like this does not resolve your issue, we recommend fully resetting your washer by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 - 3 minutes and reconnecting power. If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function, this will require service by a qualified technician. You can schedule an appointment with a Bodewell technician by calling 833-4BODEWELL (833-426-3393) or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

Need Stain Removal or Have Bulky Items? Skip This!
on November 23, 2025
Posted by: The Natural Cleaner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My household has been using this washer for about five years now, and as a whole, we have not been happy with it.
Pros: 1) It has a laundry liquid dispense system (that I don’t use, however). 2) It is a larger capacity which is nice for bulky items. 3) It appears to have lots of wash cycles and features.
Cons: 1) It becomes easily unbalanced, so I often have to rearrange my items to balance it. Therefore, it cannot be left alone especially when doing laundry like towels or bedding. 2) The soak option is just that—soak. It does not agitate at all every few minutes like a previous washer I had did. This means I have to reach in with a long cooking spoon to agitate items that need soaking. The soak option also does not go for longer than two hours. If you use natural cleaning products (without petroleum) such as oxygen bleach, you will find this is only the minimum time oxygen bleach needs to whiten/remove stains. It also does not allow you to pop the lid open for more than 10 minutes without turning off, so if I need to soak items, it’s better for me to just use my bathtub, defeating the entire point of having a washer. 3) If you fill it more than 50% of the way full, expect it to not use enough water to cover your items and also expect it to get unbalanced. 4) You cannot add extra water to the “normal” cycle. 5) It’s “balancing” option is just filling itself up with water again (such a waste!) with the hope that it becomes *magically* balanced again which only works about 30% of the time. 6) It pauses as soon as you open the lid, stopping the water. That means that I cannot use the water to rinse out my soap container to use the last drops of it. I have to go to my kitchen sink, wait for the water to get hot, and go back and forth from the kitchen to the laundry room to ensure it is rinsed out and ready to be recycled.
Verdict: As soon as it breaks, I’m taking a baseball bat to it and getting a traditional washer.

We'd like to help you improve your overall experience with your washer. To ensure the load stays properly balanced, we recommend reviewing the loading guidelines on page 13 of the Use and Care Manual (https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--GFJsZXIb--/d9d49d40afa9ee39f80e1ec2d029e72d22bf5377.pdf). As for the water level, newer models are designed to meet energy and water efficiency standards set by the DOE (Department of Energy), so you may not see a full wash basket like older machines, but the washer is performing as designed. Instead, load-sensing technology adjusts the water level based on the cycle selected and the load size. The "Deep Fill" option can be selected if you'd like to add more water to the tub, however, you still may not see the wash basket full to the top. If you feel as though what you're experiencing is not normal operation, please reach out to our Bodewell service team to schedule a service appointment. You can call to schedule at 833-426-3393 (Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET; Saturday – Sunday: Closed) or you can schedule online here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm

Horrible Washer
on December 26, 2025
Posted by: Hate3977
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is the worst washing machine I've ever used. No matter the load capacity, arrangement of said load it will battle itself to find balance every 4th load .. it's maddening. The agitator I feel is the issue.... Truly no point in the large capacity cause I have yet to find a rhyme or reason to why it looses balance so often. I feel this issue has cut the life span at least in half.... I'm sure GE knew..... Do better

Your feedback is appreciated, and we want to help you with your washer getting out of balance. When an out-of-balance condition is detected by the washer, the spin light will blink during the remaining portion of the cycle and will stay illuminated for a short time after cycle completion. When the washer tries to redistribute the load, the rinse light will be illuminated solid while the spin light blinks. When this occurs, the washer is taking actions to correct the out-of-balance condition and complete the cycle normally. In some cases, the washer may not be able to balance the load and spin up to full speed. If you notice the load is more wet than normal at the end of the cycle, redistribute the load evenly in the wash basket and run a Drain & Spin cycle. Please review page 13 in your manual for loading information here: https://products-salsify.geappliances.com/image/upload/s--GFJsZXIb--/d9d49d40afa9ee39f80e1ec2d029e72d22bf5377.pdf

Big let down for GE products
on January 2, 2026

This has been the worst washer we have ever owned. We are builders and have been a fan of GE, but this experience has changed that. We don’t push GE anymore to our clients. It can’t handle large loads, makes lots of noises, and we have had people come out multiple times to repair. The dryer isn’t any better. Please avoid.
