Don't buy it

I hate this machine! It cannot handle a less than perfectly balanced load for spin. You can't wash a single sweater .... it just won't spin. The worst and most frustrating washer I've ever had. Thought I was getting back to normal with a top load machine. NOPE. AWFUL

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review on your new GE Appliances top-load washer. We are sorry to hear that the washer is getting unbalanced during the spin cycle. We recommend ensuring that all the leveling legs are properly adjusted and leveled to the same height, as this is one of the main reasons for the washer to get unbalanced.
When washing larger loads, we also recommend putting the larger and heavier items on the bottom, and the lighter items on top. This will also help distribute the wash load and help prevent unbalancing. I really like this washer washes your clothes the first time I love how it has its own laundry soap dispenser so now don’t use as much! It’s one I would recommend to anyone.

Running washer causes lights throughout new construction house to flicker. Electricians troubleshooted problem to electro magnetic interference with washer.

Multiple electronic panel fails/unbalanced loads

This is the second time within a year that the electronic panel has gone haywire. Halfway through the wash the panel gets weird letters on the screen and starts clicking every 5 seconds or so. Unplugging does not reset. Also agree with the many unbalanced loads with this washer. The load was initially loaded properly and it still gets an unbalanced load.

Balancing feature is awful

Washes well, but takes 5-6 drain / rinse cycles to balance out and drain the clothes over time no matter how little or how much you prebalance your loads of laundry. Having to separate loads to bare minimum to spin properly so it drains

Washer is terrible. Washer has wrecked our clothes

Cloths keep coming out with unexplained grease stains. Washer can't spin the clothes out properly. Constantly out of control. Doesn't matter how you load it light or heavy. Washer is completely level so don't blame it on that we have tried everything.

Love this washer... Only mishap I have had with it, is that if there's not enough clothes in it, it gets off balance. But other than that wonderful washing machine.
