Good washer!

This is a competent washer, however, regardless of how large or small the load is, it becomes unbalanced every time. This stops the cycle, and requires the liad be adjusted.
Certain cycles do not let you choose to add more water to wash. Manual states water will not come above the clothes line and is not necessary but some clothes were completely dry at the end of the cycle and still smelled dirty. I use the automatic dispenser with Add More feature but I did not feel it added enough detergent. The clothes did not smell clean. I just add some detergent to the drum and use the automatic dispenser on Normal setting.
Bought two new ones this year and neither work. Won’t spin and drain. Constant cancel errors. Have to rerun loads multiple times.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Kayctee, thank you for choosing this top load Smart washer for your home and for taking the time to share your review. We are sorry to hear that your washer is frequently off balance and for the inconvenience that this causes. We are happy to offer you some guidance in this! If you are finding that the basket seems loose, this movement is due to the auto balance suspension system that allows the tub to move freely to withstand out of balance situations. Unbalanced loads can cause the washer to vibrate more and, in this case, you may want to stop the machine and redistribute the load. - Additionally, the more the washer legs are extended, the shakier the washer will be during operation. If your washer is significantly rocking during operation, the leveling legs may be uneven and adjusting all four leveling legs until the washer is level left-to-right and front-to-back will ensure that the unit is stable. You can find tips and a video of leveling your washer in the following support article: https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17445. We sincerely hope that this information is helpful for you and thank you again for your feedback. All the best! -Eliza@GEA
Well I love the washer bit was confused with when it ends it’s not loud enough letting me know when it’s done and also it still shows it has time left for washing, realized that it really was finished with the cycle. Other than that I love it.
My Maytag washer was almost 24 years old so this one is very different. I appreciate the water efficiency but have yet to get a handle on a couple of the cycles. This one has no permanent press cycle just as one example. Also, the smart detergent dispenser is not working correctly or at least as I think it would work.
This washer is not the one I wanted. But after using it for over a month now I have come to like every thing except one thing. It is very deep and I am short. But are stuff has never been cleaner.
My favorite feature is the bulk dispense and then after that, the wifi connection and app that tells you that it is done (and reminds you if you haven't taken it out).
