Good so far
on April 23, 2022

All went well except: 1)there was no strain relief fitting for the power cord, 2)the exhaust outlet was a little big for the factory elbow that I had to put on it, 3)there is a piece of metal fastened with one screw on the top backside that has ???? use. Not in the manual what to do with it.4) the Y fitting for the water supply does not have valves. Went to hardware store and got a Y fitting with valves so that either can be shut off. Other than those four things and it being a bit noisy, it's doing good so far.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Faulty sensor, poor support

Brand new dryer, won’t heat because of faulty sensor, sensor replacement under warranty repeatedly delayed due to parts being unavailable. Unacceptable for a brand new machine.

We’re sincerely sorry to hear your new dryer isn’t heating due to a faulty sensor and that it has been a long wait for the replacement part. This certainly isn’t the experience we expect for you, and we can imagine how disappointing this has been. We’ve reached out via email to collect some additional information. Please respond at your earliest convenience and we’ll take a closer look. -Gina@GEA

Very Clunky
on August 4, 2022

Usually a fan of GE but this dryer is so clunky. Very noisy especially the stream refresh. You have to nearly slam the door to get it to close. Open it during a cycle and the drum kept going and didn’t shut down for nearly 30 seconds. Crazy. Not their best product. The dryer sensor is off I believe because sometimes not all is dried. Should of bought a different one.

Hey there, thanks for reaching out to us. We're sorry you're finding your dryer to be louder than expected, that the door is hard to shut, that your clothes aren't always drying well, and that it once kept turning after opening the door once. This is definitely not the kind of ownership experience we want for our consumers and we're happy to help.
We first suggest disconnecting power to the unit for 2-3 minutes to try and reset the controls. If this continues to happen, we recommend taking advantage of your warranty and scheduling service with a certified GE Appliances technician that will be able to accurately diagnose and repair your appliance. You can do so by calling GE Appliance Service at 1-800-GECares (1-800-432-2737) or by clicking here: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
We’re confident our technician will be able to get you taken care of and we’re wishing you the best. Let us know if you need anything else.

Died again after having been “fixed” 4 months ago
on August 6, 2022

Dryer has once again stopped heating, after four month of being repaired for same issue. This is the third time. Good thing it’s not being manufactured anymore. It’s trash! Poor quality product. Company should REPLACE it with something that works as this model does not. I will stay away from this brand from now on. It’s not as good as it used to be!

Hi there, we'd like to apologize that your dryer has stopped heating for the third time now. This would definitely be exhausting to deal with and we'd never want that for our consumers. With that said, please know we're confident in our technician's ability so we appreciate your patience as they work to get this resolved. If you were to need anything else once this appointment is completed, you can always message us on social media. We appreciate you bringing this to our attention and we're grateful to have you in our GEA family.
