still good but not prefect

there is a glitch in NYS step-by-step requiring attachments when there are already there. Can't file without attachment and files it's taking are not what is saved.
What's great about it: using for many years - I undersatnd it
What's not so great: forcing issues with no workaround if you don't need to do it

So Easy

Turbo Tax is the best program out there. We had a complicated issue this year with our business, one of our partners left, but turbo tax handled the situation with only a few headaches.
What's great about it: Was very easy to do and did complicated calculations with ease.
What's not so great: kept sending me back to "fix" errors with no easy way to fix.

make extension form avalilable

Bought TurboTax software, if the first thing I want to do is to fill out an extension form, I can not. Your form always has the water mark of "do not file" in the shade unless I spent a lot of time to start the routine information.
Every year I have to go on line to print the extension form instead of getting it from TurboTax.
Please make this convenient change to support your client. Thanks.

Very good overall tax program. Tracks depreciation and carryovers, NOL and contribution carryovers. This program helps you avoid mistakes .
What's great about it: walks you through forms, helps and teaches
What's not so great: interview process can be circular if you do not know rules

Costs a little more, but worth it.

Needs more examples and written details for each entry line. It's not always clear what is or is not included in the entry.

Had some challenges

I felt cheated that I switched to Quickbooks online to make things easier at tax time. Unfortunately, you can't export QBW files from Quickbooks online, so I couldn't import information into TurboTax Business for prepping the S-Corp return. It was okay to manually enter some information, but it was so much easier last year when I was still using Quickbooks 2016 Desktop.
What's great about it: Step-by-step directions were great. E-filing was a breeze.
What's not so great: I couldn't import my information from Quickbooks online.
