Saves me huge CPA fee

The application is better each year -- including "ease of use." What I like most is that I don't have to worry about keeping up with and understanding changes in tax laws. The one thing that bothers me is that Intuit kept making updates to the software up until the week before taxes were due. That is concerning to me. It makes me feel like I should never submit my Federal and Virginia returns early -- for fear of the possibility of an error due to using the software before it has been fully updated.
What's great about it: Quite easy to use
What's not so great: Could be challenging if you have no experience making previous, similar filings

Very Intuitive and Well Organized

I really enjoy spending a couple hundred dollars a year for my business tax return versus $1,500 to $2,000 if done by a tax accountant.
Very easy to use, ask a lot of questions and provides excellent answers to questions when I get hung up on something.
What's great about it: Fast, accurate and plenty of info options
What's not so great: It does Tax Returns!

Good but not great

The return turned out well except for the calculation of shareholder basis. I did not see a place to enter beginning shareholder basis. that was something our CPA used to calculate for us each year.
What's great about it: walked me through first year tax return on s corp

Presents Very Well

This is overall the best software to use for self prepared taxes. Tried others but Turbo Tax provide the best clear and concise explanations. Software moves you through the process in orderly and reasonably understandable way especially for non accountant types!
What's great about it: Understandably Written for the Non-Accountant
What's not so great: A few help links were not as defined as in the past.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Precise and easy to use

As always, Turbo Tax walked me through the process of filing a tax return for my S corporation. The integration with Quickbooks further simplifies this process. I was able to create my return, check the return, and file electronically in just a couple of hours. Okay . . . less than an hour, but I stepped aside for a few minutes to be able to review my return with a fresh eye.
What's great about it: Every step for filing is laid out in order
What's not so great: Different versions of TT are required for S Corp and LLC businesses

could use some clarification

The download could've been more clear that I should go to my email and that i cannot see it with microsoft edge. I wasted a lot of time figuring this out.
The other area at the end was it referred me to section 709(b) to complete amortize startup costs page but I couldn't find it and there was zero help i could find on this. i found other people searching for the same thing, so I know this is a gap.
What's great about it: usually seamless, but not this year
What's not so great: missed some direction
