Long Process

Take way too long to fix errors and some are locked down so you have to go back several steps.
Purchased the software for the State and it gave me two and charged me twice. Completed another company in the same State and it made me jump through hoops to get the download I paid for. I gave up and repurchased as a guest just to get the return done.

What's great about it: Grabs your Quickbooks File
What's not so great: Software gets hung up on small errors that cannot be corrected easily within the program

State Tax Electronic Filing Not Working

I tried to file the CA State Tax electronically, after i downloaded the software.
I got a message stating I need to download updates. After 3 attempts of downloading updates, it still will not let me file electronically.

Took me forever to realign Quickbooks Online's Detailed Type with the deductions items. Some QBO detailed type explanations conflict with notes in the TurboTax Business deductions section.
What's great about it: Helps to navigate and understand new tax law changes
What's not so great: Major mismatch of business deduction categories with Quickbooks 'Detailed Type'.

Business was kind of extensive. Why isn't there a MAC version? There doesn't seem to be an analysis. I expected more.

Little Annoyances

I use this every year with my QuickBooks. Every year I have to fix the same small stuff that does not transfer from QB right (possibly my issue) and also I have to fix the items it does not carry from previous year. The most annoying of those are the local returns I do every year that I have to type in addresses and select them and add them and all of that. How hard is it to have the same ones as last year??
What's great about it: It kind of works... i Figure it out

Easy 1120 Prep

Even though I input into the system the beginning and ending dates for my fiscal year, I got an error on an asset that needed to be disposed.
Also, fixed asset input was time consuming. The software should have a template for uploading the data.
What's great about it: Q&A made sure I addressed all the issues
What's not so great: Doesn't recognize fiscal year period

Error message are often incomplete and, as a result, incomprehensible. Moreover, this goes on year-after-year and Intuit never improves on this (at least not in 10 years)
