Poor Instructions

Utah business returns cannot be filed electronically. When the Utah forms are printed to file by mail it prints the Utah forms then the instruction page and then the federal forms. The instructions do not say if the federal copy has to be filed with the state copy.

I have used TurboTax for Business for several years, and for the price its a good value. Pretty easy to use and seems to work okay. I do have some difficulty when reconciling non-deductible expenses in the income statement section.
What's great about it: Quick and Easy
What's not so great: Causes some difficulties

Overall a good program and easy to use for an experienced person. Would recommend to others to save over paying high fees to have your taxes prepared.
What's great about it: Easy step - by - step walk through
What's not so great: A few more explanations would have helped

MN IA WI FEDL S-CORP

Using the Step-by-step is o.k. (not complete) for the Federal return. I still had to go to the forms to search for how to enter/adjust the Section 199A pass-through numbers. Also had to add the Form 8925. The step-by-step didn't ask enough questions to complete these two items. For the three state S-Corp returns (MN, IA, WI), the step-by-step was basically useless. I had to go to forms and manually enter almost everything. The very basic of numbers flowed from the Federal return. But, all apportionment and adjustments that were needed had to be calculated and entered manually on the forms for the state returns. WI e-filing is mandatory. I have never had Turbo Tax be able to e-file the MN or IA S-Corp returns. For the price paid, I'm disappointed in the programs this year.
What's great about it: all of the states that I needed to file were available in the TurboTax programs
What's not so great: You better know what you're doing for state returns!

Great program year after year.

Great progam that makes filing taxes less painful and more accurate. I only wish TurboTax Business would link to UBS Financial Services to directly download stock sales info into 1041 form 8949.
It is the best product I have found for forms 1041, 1120, and 1120-S. The product for form 1040 I also love and use every year. It carries over info from year to year automatically for me.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: 1041 version does not link with UBS Financial Services to download data to Form 8949.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

The step by step process allow a person to know and understand what can be deducted. I will always use this product because it saves time and money.
What's great about it: Step by Step Process is a learning experience
What's not so great: Hard to find certain answers

TurboTax forgot to add the cover page for the IRS with address and mention how many taxes we owe.
TurboTax also is bugging on Retained earnings and income: when you hit the Back button and changes the amount of the income or retained earnings. It keeps changing over and over. So I have to close the document and start again. or make sure I reach the proper amount.
What's not so great: some bugs
