Software keeps getting easier to use!
on March 11, 2019

When the software pointed to a specific entry as an error, or missing, there were a few times I could not make sense what the error was or why the error existed because the interview wizard did not even come across it or never covered the form itself. If it's a technical error, software should explain it in simpler language.
What's great about it: Improved ease of use; Less confusing parts or questions
What's not so great: A few entries pointed to as errors lacked explanation

Some Info Deficiencies
on March 11, 2019

I used the 2018 downloadable Turbo Tax Business. At first Turbo Tax couldn't find my depreciation data from 2017, and that was a big deal! I figured out which folder later on, and I couldn't get back to the upload screen. The community didn't have any answers either. I had to delete my current return and start a new one to enable the upload screen to pop up again. Entering all of my depreciation info would have been a monumental task. I wish there were more extensive navigation lists associated with each tab, instead of having to go back through the whole process to find a previous location in the interview. Also, two years in a row I have e-filed, and I'm told something needs to be mailed. Once I click on the "print required forms" button, it gave me an error "Your forms can not be printed. Error in converting your forms to PDF format." Last year there wasn't anything to be mailed, so I'm banking on the same result this year. Again no information in the community. Lastly, the 199A worksheet did not have any instructions through Turbo Tax, and it wanted me to fill out the data. Likewise, IRS doesn't have an instruction sheet either, just a FAQs sheet. Fortunately for me, I helped with taxes for another person who used Turbo Tax Online, and their 199A sheet was prefilled by Turbo Tax. That gave me an idea on how to adjust my income and W-2 wages. What's up with that??? The main reason most people use Turbo Tax is to get the data and calculations done within the forms. Which is what I like best about Turbo Tax. Then all I need to do is check the data before it is sent to the IRS. That is the reason why I continue to use your product. Thank you.
What's great about it: Depreciation Expense Carryover
What's not so great: Some navigation issues
