Simple makes perfect

Been using Turbotax for over 10 years will not change to another product. Would have given a 5 star if it were not for the repetitive save option for printing return.

Fed OK, State is total waste of money

I have been using TurboTax for Business for years to file for LLC in NY. I recently moved to SC and started an S-corp. TTax had worked for years. I tried to file Fed and State, but after paying $54.99 for SC state, all I got from TTax is SC return cannot be eFiled. Bad enough, but the software should at least print SC1120S so I can drop it in the mail. I got NOTHING!!
What's great about it: Fed S-Corp Return Went Ok
What's not so great: Paid $54.99 for SC and got NOTHING

TurboTax for Trusts

I've been using TurboTax for Business and Trusts for numerous years. It's an easy to use program and does carry the key data to present year from previous year. However, it does not permit input of brokerage accounts into the system, nor does it handle foreign taxes on dividends very well.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Does not permit import of brokerage accounts; Does not handle foreign taxes on dividends easily

Business Tax

Sometimes the description in the user interface was not that straight forward and I had to switch to the form to review in more details. Or during the error check, there were errors that I had to fix under the Form environment (such as recourse debt). As soon as I made the switch, I found the form was very technical and did not have much description to help me navigate. I ended up having to search on the internet to fine my own answers.
What's great about it: E-file
What's not so great: Still too technical

Integration with quickbooks online is dismal

Intuit needs to at least make a small standalone tool to pull data out of quickbooks online and serve it to turbo tax. It's not 1997 anymore, data isn't hard. Turbo Tax was at least much more helpful than the green square. But, if I have to spend a day to export data--I will drop these programs in a heartbeat.
What's great about it: Works well once the data is there
What's not so great: Worst data exchange I've ever seen

Asside from not being able to access my desktop (probably my comp's issue) , Tim took his time and was really patient with me and did resolve my issue in processing my e-file.
What's great about it: really stayed with me to complete my return
What's not so great: couldn't access my computer
