Easy to use

I have used Turbo Tax for years and I will continue to do so. I have never had a problem on installation. The walk through feature makes it simple to answer. Once I finish all input, I like to 'walk through' it all again just to be sure. Which is why it bothers me so much that the 'yes', 'no', and other check selections disappear!
What's great about it: Walk through and explanations
What's not so great: Lose the Yes and No Choices

Long Delay in Installing - Can't Tell If Working

Pretty much bug free. User not guided enough dealing with royalty incomes. Gas well royalties are reported by producers on 1099-MISC. This year I had 3 of these. TurboTax asks for 1099-MISC info and then later asks about royalty payments for entering on Schedule E. This can easily double-count payments to the detriment of the taxpayer. Printing of review copies of return occurs waaaaaaaaaay too late in the programming. Why wait to one step before sending (or even after sending) to do this?
What's great about it: Accurate, can be found/bought anywhere
What's not so great: Royalty income reported by 1099-MISC confusing -easy to report as both 1099 income and as Schedule E income

Smooth Process

Everything went smoothly. Only thing I did not understand was how to add shareholder capital contributions to the S-corp filing. In my specific case, I contributed personal funds into the business and wanted to list them as capital contributions but could not find that option within Turbo Tax Business process.

highly disappointing

for someone that has rental and flip properties it seemed to force everything into the rental category and I couldn't find answers for how to incorporate the flip property information. at times it felt like this was more for someone with a tax background instead of for someone expecting to work through their taxes on their own. and your ads regarding easy access to help are way overstated.
What's great about it: at least it was an easy transfer of information from last year
What's not so great: couldn't get helpful answers to my questions

Need to allow Quickbooks Online download

Worked great for my LLC partnership, but I don't understand why you can download Quickbooks data, but not Quickbooks Online data.
What's great about it: Thorough and easy
What's not so great: Should accept Quickbooks Online download
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

MT State Form CLT-4S Not Avail

Montana Corporate return not available for download and I was not aware of this situation until software was already opened and in use and ready to input state information. I then was required to purchase the pro series software to finish client return.
