Deletes your tax files

If you need to review, edit your tax file through the desktop app, make sure you copy and back up all files and also change your file extension on the backup files (change ".tax2019" to something like ".2019BAK"). There is a horrible bug that deletes all tax files after software updates if you try to open them again through the app.

I found entry of 1099-oid to be very cumbersome. This should be a separate choice under the Investment Income section of Your Income.

Over all pretty good except the amending process

First time using E-file. I made a mistake and e-filed my taxes without including all the return. misunderstanding on my part. I read in Help how to amend and tried several times unsuccessfully. clicked every time when asked if i needed to amend, changed the original file name even deleted the old one and started a new one from scratch. In the end i got the note that Intuit would not allow me to efile the new forms because the SS number had already been used. I wasted a lot of time on TT, gave up and mailed in the amended forms. Not very happy with my experience.

Problems with the 2018 state business module

I was able to file my 2018 federal business taxes electronically but the California state module returns an error during the check your return section. It continues to ask me to check the SMLLC has elected to be disregarded. However this is a two person LLC. If you check the SMLLC box then it complains that the number of LLC members is greater than one and you must now uncheck the SMLLC disregarded box. No way to fix it.

Best for first time DIY-ers

If doing business tax return is a first and a professional cannot be afforded then this would be your best way to go. The most difficult aspect of preparing an accurate business return for any station of entity is the required forms that must be filed, if those forms aren't known then mistakes will be made incorrect information will be filed and that could be very costly for the business by way of fines and penalties. This program helps ease the stress of not knowing by asking necessary questions and gives enough explanations to any items that aren't easily interpreted and if that isn't good enough there is a qualified CPA that can help through their remote help desk online; seems like all avenues are covered should help be needed.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Had trouble with Schedule B (1065)

I could not access Schedule B-2, Part III Line 3. Therefore, I had to do the change manually by printing and filling in Schedule B Line 25 ("If Yes")
