No City Return E-file Capabilities

As a practitioner doing a "self-prepared" return for my spouse's business, it was difficult using a software designed for non-tax professionals, but it worked well enough for our needs, as the returns are not particularly complex. However, I was very disappointed to find out at the end that TurboTax does not support e-filing for City returns (and I'm not sure, but I got the sense from the rep who confirmed this gap in functionality that supporting City e-files is not even on their "to-do" list?).
I have never used a tax software, whether while working for other firms, or self-employed, that did not support e-filing City returns, particularly NYC. This is a major hassle, especially during this pandemic, when most people would rather avoid the Post Office if at all possible. I'm not sure about other cities, but considering NYC uses the federal meF system, I don't see why this can't be developed. Also, in my case, this return was being finalized at the last minute, so seeing that screen at the end saying the City return cannot be efiled of course meant the return would be filed late. (There were other reasons this return was being worked on at the last minute, but had there not been and I simply was just getting to it on the due date, I would be quite furious.)

I love Business Turbo Tax.

Turbo Tax is so easy to work on my corporation return.

Does not carry anything over from Turbotax Home and Business like it said it would, bacisally youre starting all over entering your information. Have to pay additional for State return ($54) & not even able to file the state return online. This is the worst Turbotax software experience Ive had in the many years ive been using the software.

Easy & Fast Corporate Taxes

Finally, TurboTax included e-file for both Federal and state with the price of the software. They just need to tell you it is included before you select e-file! They should be proud of this.
