Turbo Tax Business 2019

TurboTax Business 2019 was great . It was very intuitive and imported almost all of the data that I needed. I was very impressed on the ease of using it. I wish it would import my carryover items from previous years such as 179 losses.

Not enough guidance

I used this program for a relatively simple estate tax return. The guidance was really skimpy. This was my first time using it and it would have been helpful to have more detailed background for some of the questions. For example, the question about distributions to the beneficiaries. It was not clear whether it was asking for taxable income or any distributions made. Also, there were some technical glitches - program kept deleting some of the beneficiary information - social security numbers kept disappearing.

Fast and easy. Did find that I was not prompted to add an asset and set up depreciation. I had to hunt for the form.

Good product but needs a little improvement

In general the software works very well. It helps me as first timer to do this complicated tax filing work. It saves good money compared to using CPA or tax preparer. The only confusing place is the state franchise tax calculation paid on time but tax filed with extension. Tried several ways, but the software kept double counting the franchise tax I paid and requesting refund even though I paid the right amount and no refund is needed as the balance shall be $0. Tried to correct it both at the step by step and the forms sections, but failed. I ended up with no way to correct the system. Hope the software will provide a better solution for this field.
