Woe is Mac

I have been using Turbo Tax for business forever, and Mac-in-Tax for business before that. Intuit bought Mac-in-Tax and shut it down, condemning Mac users to an annual fight with Windows. Turbo Tax for business is clunky, because Windows is clunky. I would get my returns done much faster if it ran natively on Mac. Please bring the Mac back!

I find the probram entry system a little cumbersome. Also, it would be nice if I could have done Oregon through Turbo Tax.

TurboTax Needs Improvement

What's missing that I really need:
1. Please improve the search function to be an all-inclusive federated search. The search function is the most important self-help tool. Search results should always show the user options to "Jump to" the search results. Example: If I search for k1 I do NOT get the option to "Jump to K-1". Users must specifically type upper case "K-1" in order to get the "Jump to" search results. Searching for a dollar amount is not available, but should be. Search is different than Help. Search is meant to find items inside the tax return. Help is about offering advice, suggestions, guidance, or IRS regulations about a question. Offering both Search and Help is crucial, but please keep them separate.

Very disappointed

I used the import feature for data transfer from Quickbooks. Data was not transferred properly: amounts on wrong lines of tax return, some amounts transferred twice or not at all. Software is limited in it's detail of tax return line item viewing/correction. Instead of performing as an efficient tool, it took several hours to unravel the mistakes.

Powerful Tax Software

My first year with Turbo Tax, though I've used other tax software for 45 years. Diagnostics and auto updating of input features are very strong. I prepare California returns, which are their own "rules." Software handled California effectively. I efile the returns and the efile system is very friendly. I do not use the "inquiry/question" interface so I cannot speak to that feature.

For LLCs, this is the BEST AND ONLY way to prepare Federal Tax Returns! It's clear, concise, complete ... and PAINLESS! ...not to mention, a "price performer"!
