Horrible Product

TurboTax takes longer to do than filling out the forms and will make more errors than you will do even if you don't use a calculator. It will make up extra forms that you don't need to fill out and which clearly don't apply. Save yourself the headache and pay someone else to do your taxes.

After MANY years, still too primitive

Using this software is like going back years compared to other TurboTax products. (I use it for Trusts.) One HUGE example, it will not upload data directly from financial institutions, which means HUGE hassles to print out all 1099-B transactions. And while the 2019 version say it will guide you through uploading the 1099-B pdf at the end, it doesn't do that. While it does upload the signature page, it simply won't let you add any other PDF attachments, so I had to manually combine the signature page with the 1099-B forms. That took me longer than filling in the rest of the forms. There is no excuse for such broken and primitive procedures. Other TurboTax versions will easily upload all the 1099 B/INT/DIV info. Takes seconds.

for the most part, turbo tax okay but too many glitches like short sales of options with a sale date not in the current tax year throws up errors and prevents e filling

Errors transferring information from 2018

Errors transferring depreciation and stock ownership information from 2018. It worked well for the past 18 years, but now it fails and needs to be fixed manually. Tax return balance is not shown anymore. Other than that is works well.
