I really like Turbo Tax, but...

This was my first time using Turbo Tax and I really liked using this program. It was very easy and the steps were easy to follow for doing my own small business taxes for my partnership return for me and my husband. But didn't like the fact that it did not allow me to also file my personal taxes. After paying $170 I still needed to buy another program to file my personal taxes. Doesn't really make sense. I might as well have paid my Accountant.

Needs improvement

Turbotax business needs to be on the cloud just like Turbotax for personal tax returns. I'm sick of re-entering crucial data if I have to get a new computer. C'mon already. And there are so many glitches. It wouldn't let me click "No" for a question about whether I paid anyway 1099 contractors. It couldn't transmit electronically because of that, so now I have to file by mail. Lame.

The "File" section needs major improvement

Every year I have had some problems interpreting your directions during filing. This year, for the first time, I decided to Efile to avoid the post office during the coronavirus lock down. When I e-filed the Fed I followed your directions to include my signature on Form 8453-S. After adding my signature to 8453 I scanned it into my computer and attached it to my file per your instructions. When reviewed the tax file I e-filed, I saw the signed copy. When I printed my copy, I got the unsigned 8453. I have no confidence what the Feds received and whether it will be rejected because of no signature. I tried to e-file my NC state and was told I can't do it with no further direction on what to do. I opened my state section and found "File". I tried to print my return but got stuck but after clicking "Preview Print Copy" could no find the "Print" button. I found it when filing my personal return using Premier.
Filing my business fed & state taxes proved to be a nightmare. I have been using business and individual Turbo Tax since 2002. Now I can't even scroll up to the beginning of this Review text. Turbotax is doing a good job of leading me through my tax preparation.

Loyal and happy turbotax user

I have used turbotax for business since the inception of our business in 2006. Being able to import data year-to-year, and easily access our returns and supporting docs is a main reason for my loyalty and satisfaction with this product. Also - super easy to use, and the education "blurbs" are extremely helpful!

Won't interface with Quickbooks Online

I pay a small fortune for Quickbooks online, but Turbotax Business won't interface with it and there is no way to download a file in the proper format for Turbotax Business. This meant I was old school looking up information and inputting it manually. I could just as well have made my own spreadsheets instead of paying for Quickbooks.

TurboTax-easy to use, account hard to sign into

TurboTax for Business (Fed) was loaded from disc - easy to load program and set up. I also needed state to complete filing. Signing into my TurboTax account was nearly impossible. I reset password 3 times and site still would not let me connect and purchase state using my account. I ended up purchasing as a guest. Intuit needs to fix this.
