Big privacy issues

I do not like the fact that Turbo Tax kind of forces you to give it access to my other websites to download data. It should many fields pre-filled based on prior year's information. Instead it does not. It makes you fill them in again unless you agree for TurboTax to download data from other sites.

Made Estate Taxes a Breeze

Thank goodness for TurboTax Business! I had to file Estate returns this year due to a death in the family. I had so much anxiety going into this tax season. TurboTax came thru like always and made it so much simpler than my mind had made it out to be. THank you!

QBI Messed me up!

I've been using Turbo Tax for a long time. This year the addition of the QBI for the Trust I manage took forever to get around. Could never find the question that simply asked, "Do you qualify?" so I could say no and would not generate 8995 form. Support was great though! Helped me delete the 8995 so I could file. Grateful!

TurboTax Business leaves a lot to be desired in terms of convenience, ease of use, and confidence. It is only available on Windows and has an outrageously outdated user interface. There are no improvements over the years, just the same thing with small adjustments based on IRS changes. Many screens offer no help or explanation whatsoever about the items that have to be filled or the choices that must be made. One needs to go and search the IRS website for information. It is easier and faster if one has used it in previous years, as it will import some information.
I had some questions and was not able to find any support. I posted on the online forum and I did not get any relevant answers. I looked really hard for a support phone number and did not find one.
Overall there is a lot to be desired, and I am never fully confident that my business taxes were filed correctly, with all necessary information and supporting forms. You need to be an experienced accountant, I guess, in order to know everything that is needed and search for it manually, like credits, elections and additional forms.

works great for my trust tax return needs - one problem i found though was the way it dealt with filing fed versus state. Printing my state was a bit of a chore. thought the process would have been more natural
