Updates are difficult and cumbersome to get around

At my tax review stage it required an update which I was unable to complete. Had to hunt for the patch and install. Wasted many hours. Went to do my state tax filing and had to check for updates and failed with an error again. Gave up on the state tax and just filed my federal.

Doesn't understand simple vs complex trusts.

TurboTax Butsiness improperly includes capital gains and decedent IRA required minimum distributions as income that needs to be distributed when determining whether a trust is simple or complex.

Practicle for small business

This is my 3rd year using Turbo Tax. The only problem that I had this year is that it allowed me to input two numbers on a 1099 form without the program flagging it. I submitted my 1099s prior to the due date but had to resubmit several due to inputting different numbers (non employee compensation and bonus) on the same 1099. This will cost $50 per wrong form, I have 10 wrong forms.

Turbo tax was harder than I expected but it did save me around $500 dollars. The most frustrating thing was getting my forms to print. I kept getting errors saying I didn't have ADOBE reader when I did.

Did not import Bank or Brokerage info

Would not import Brokerage and Bank info. This should be combined with the home and business tax program so you don't have to buy a separate program for trusts

Business for Mac

TurboTax is a life saver. I'm so thankful for such a powerful and user-friendly product. I would LOVE to see a Business for Mac version released soon. Every year I have to go through pains of borrowing someone's PC to do my business taxes, which seems ridiculous in 2020.
