Fed is Good, Trouble with State

Federal Taxes were easy. On the state tax, I had trouble getting it downloaded after paying for it. Even with online customer service, inexplicably it worked when she had given up that the state tax would load on the app. When I was working on my state tax, it would take me back to a default page each time and then i had to open the state tax to progress each page. Very cumbersome and until I realized the software worked this way it was frustrating

Felt like I was using the wrong tool for the job

I used Turbo Tax for many years to do my individual taxes so when I unexpectedly had to do taxes on several trusts I didn't hesitate to purchase the expensive Business version. However, there were mathematical errors and no good guidance in the interview. If I forgot to enter something, I couldn't go back to fix it without the program hanging up. I had to start over from scratch about 4 times for each return. I won't purchase Turbo Tax Business for trust taxes again.

Turbo Tax makes doing my own taxes possible

I am a trustee and I thought it would be very complicated to do the taxes on the trust but with turbo tax it was easy.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Not as good as Turbo Tax Premier. I guess trusts are complicated and difficult to write software that does trusts well.

Filing an Amended Partnership Return

Your software DOES NOT allow the e-file of an amended return, nor does it provide the address to mail an amended return to! Little thing, but critically important! Then, when going to the IRS website, it provides where to file an amended personal return, but provides no information as to where to file an amended partnership or business return. I assumed it was the same as for personal returns.... Your software should have this information.

TurboTax Business Is Great!

The questions asked by TurboTax Business are straight forward and easy to follow, which makes doing taxes for an LLC fast and simple. Two areas that I found a little lacking, not clearly laid out, and could use some improvement:
1. Total foreign taxes, Paid, line 16p on Schedule K
2. Distributions of cash and marketable securities, line 19a on Schedule K
In both cases, I had to go directly to "Forms" and input the numbers directly.
