There was a mathmatical error on the form

I found a mathematical error on the NY form. The computation was the percentage of NY income compared to Total Adjusted income. It marked down a percentage number 9.999 but was used as a decimal in calculating the tax liability. It left me owning over 1800 dollars on 900 in state income where it should have been 19. I had to manually fix the calculation

Moved from the impossible H&R Block with all the screen errors to Turbotax. More money, but much easier to use.

TurboTax has a good interview/question format that enables you to get the information in the right place. I did have some trouble getting it to print a particular page without printing the whole return, that may be operator error.

I Love Turbo Tax, but...

I had to upgrade to Turbo Tax Business for 1 form, the 1041. SO it was a little more pricey than I expected. I chose the on-line version so I could get these done quickly. It took 3 tries to get the download to "take..." and most of the day. Okay, granted, my internet access is size of a drinking straw. It was still frustrating. It would be nice if the 1041 was offered in one of the smaller products, but I understand. I would also like to see this product offered for an OS platform. Still, TT develops a great product that helps one navigate the wordiness of the IRS "worksheets" and "instructions." I will continue to buy this product.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Have Used TurboTax Many Years and Keep Returning

It is easy to enter the data and to e-file. I like being able to switch between Step-by-Step and Forms.
