Using Turbo Tax Business

EASY PROCESS

Turbo Tax was very easy to use. When I had questions, I called the help line and they called back in 10 minutes to assist. Plenty of help features built into program. I would highly recommend this product!

Inadequate for homeowners associations

After purchasing TurboTax for Business, I found that it does not support form 1120-H for homeowners associations at all well. You have to go into Forms mode and just fill out the form manually. Except for a little bit of addition, it doesn't help you at all. And for the state form (NC), I also just had to fill out the form myself. Not a good value for the price!

Easier to use but much more expensive

TurboTaxwas more user-friendly to use. Unfortunately it was about 3x the cost of other options. Additionally it does not come with any free personal tax filings like those other options do. I would recommend using the other software because the cost savings is far superior to the interface improvements.

I love Turbotax but...

I've used TurboTax for Business for years and I really like that I can run it locally where I can protect the privacy of my data rather than trust a cloud somewhere. This year there were a few glitches in the CA state return around the seasonal income form, but otherwise quick and painless.

Difficult program to use

Used this program for preparing 1041. Search did not provide answers I required and had to go to google and try to figure out how to populate certain items. I have used Turbo Tax for my regular taxes for years and was a great success. This particular program for preparing Form 1041 was extremely difficult. I would ask a question in the Search and the answers I received had nothing to do with the question I asked. When I went to Google, the Intuit answers shown were not accurate. I was extremely disappointed in this program.
