Great until the very end and efiling

There was one error message related to filling in a single individual partner's EIN on the K-1 and despite trying many times, filling in a valid SSN for the K-1 recipient would not be accepted by turbotax and thus could not efile on time, forced to paper file after the 3/16 due date.

Quality Declining

Just transmitted business taxes. Took an extra day due to a bug not allowing me to transmit. Said errors present in unused irrelevant form. Stuck in loop. Pointed to checkbox on line 41B that was nonexistent. Checked a nonsensical box that made error go away. Losing faith in Turbotax. Very very old software that is likely bloated and incomprehensible to new young programmers.

Serious problem in California Turbo Tax Business

Infinite loop in California State Business Forms we couldn't EFile. Turbo Tax Business insisted on a Form 5806 to calculate estimated tax payment penalty when no taxes were owed. I tried an scenario with estimated taxes were past due, it couldn't calculate the penalty. It also threw in a Form 3554 for a new employee credit when there were no new employees or any employees. Luckily the 3554 could be deleted, but the 5806 when deleted would appear as a ghost form. After taking every approach I could to work around the bug, manually selecting having the Tax agency calculate the penalty on the form allowed the EFile to go through. Wasted a day back calculating previous year tax estimates for the form, but Turbo couldn't process the form.
After my first difficulty, I tried two different approaches to see if I could discover the problem.

My returns are pretty consistent from year to year and I like the expediency of the auto-fill of info from previous year. Also, since my business operation and thus tax situation are not complicated I can breeze thru the step-by-step process pretty easily.

Same old bugs, and some new ones!

This product has too many bugs to be considered professional software. If I wasn't so pressed for time, I might actually enjoy figuring out how to work around all of these bugs, especially the ones that prevent you from e-filing *after* your return has passed all of the error-checking reviews. Bravo, Intuit.
