Frustrated by Unnecessary Forms

TurboTax Business generated 2 forms I did not need to file. Those forms (both for California) were unnecessarily created and required information not available. I kept trying to fill in data...it would not allow me to do so. Could not file electronically with those incomplete (unneeded) forms. Finally I deleted forms and all went well...I think. Wasted about 90 min trying to figure out what to do.

10 year anniversary of me using TurboTax

Turbotax keeps getting better. There is some room for improvement: just before e-filing it suddenly tells that there are errors in the return. Why?! Return was already checked for errors! Going back to checking for errors again - signature date is missing in Federal and State returns! TurboTax should have inserted "date signed" automatically into Federal and State returns and into Form 8453-PE instead of complaining about errors that are only a missing "date signed".

I can not get the program to e-file my Massachusetts Return. Since the dawn of e-file I get error message consistently.. Super annoying.

Glitch in the program wasted over 2 hours

I have purchased TurboTax Business download for Windows since we opened our business in 2016. This year was more difficult than previous years. There was a glitch in the program and some of the information that should have been automatically populated was not entered by the system. This caused an error in the numbers and after an hour of trying I still could not figure out how to fix it. At the time I didn't know why this error was showing up since the numbers that were showing were correct. I had to contact TurboTax Live for assistance and I was on the phone for about an hour until the very pleasant and helpful representative was able to figure out where the glitch was coming from. Just for the sake of being through I will describe it in detail. The error was showing on Form 4562 line 10. The display of this form in the forms view page was showing that the numbers were filled in correctly but the system was saying that the number should have been zero. Turns out in order to find the source of the error you have to click on another button to open the entire form since the form in the standard forms view only shows part of the form. In the "Full" form view there is another section of form 4562 that was not displayed on the first forms view. This section should have had redundant information from lines 10 and 11 (which are calculated and populated by the program) and those lines were empty. So after we manually entered the correct information in that hidden section the errors went away. Needless to say it was not an ideal experience this time.

Form 4562 Error caused late return

Your system gave me a depreciation error quoted as being from Form 4562 that was actually something that needed to be fixed on another form. The solution provided in your online Help Center forum was of no assistance whatsoever. It took me a half hour to ifgure out on my own and by then it was past 12am EST 17 Mar 2020. I'm hoping this doesn't result in some sort of late filing charge for my business, however if it does you all should foot that bill.
