Turbo Tax business review

Once onto the platform, it was easy--almost too easy. I wanted to see the overall view before I was given the option to do so. Also, some of these issues I don't really understand even with the explanations. I just made my best guess and showed no errors in the end.

Turbo Tax Business

not as easy as Turbo Tax Deluxe. Did have to seek out help to be sure that Schedule K1 was issued correctly, but worth using if you are the Executor of an Estate.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Turbo Tax Business Tool

The TurboTax for Business download worked okay, but I did not find it to be as helpful as the online tool I am familiar with in doing our personal taxes with. As a first time filer for a small business I was hoping the tool would be more helpful in explaining requirements and providing context for information that was being requested. Several times I had to invest a significant amount of time looking up certain terms and understanding what the tool was asking for. I have successfully completed our returns, but my confidence level is not very high and I think the tool could be much more improved if TurboTax included the same kind of support and information that is included in the online version for regular taxes.

Good, except interview for balance sheet is broken

Overall TurboTax works ok for my multi-member real estate LLC.
Except for the balance sheet. The "Smart Interview" is completely broken. I had to do the balance sheet the "quick" way and fairly manually.
It's also somewhat difficult to add to an existing business as bringing forward depreciation schedules and getting everything to match was difficult. Probably not a problem if you use TurboTax from day1.

TurboTax doesn't identify required attachment

TurboTax asks me to attach a federal form "Federal NOL Deduction Detail:F500P1" to my Virginia state form but doesn't bring up the form to print or otherwise identify it. There is no form of that name in my return and TurboTax help and community forums don't mention it.
